Export Images from Google Docs: Two Methods to Download Just the Images Instead of Whole Document

Here’s how to do that:

Open the Google Docs document from which you want to download the image(s);

Go to File >> Download >> Web page (html, zipped);

Open the Downloads folder of your PC. You’ll find a zipped folder saved to it whose name will be the same as the title of your Google Doc;

Extract the contents of the Zipped folder;

Inside the extracted contents, you’ll have a folder named “images”. Open it and you can take whichever images you want to use from there.

Method #2: Use MS Word

This method requires you to use the Save as Picture feature of MS word to export an image from a Google Doc.

Follow the steps below to export your image:

Open the Google Doc from which you want to export the image;

Right-click on the image, and then click “Copy”. Alternatively, you can also select the image and hit Ctrl+C on your keyboard;

Launch MS Word and create a blank document;

Paste your copied image in the document by hitting Ctrl+V on your keyboard;

Now right-click on the image in MS Word, and choose “Save as Picture”;

The “Save as” dialogue box will open now. You can give your desired name to the image and then save it to your computer in your desired folder.
